Enjoy a traditional Rwandan dinner at a local restaurant, featuring dishes like brochettes and plantains. Overnight at a boutique hotel in Kiga

After an early breakfast, transfer to Volcanoes National Park (about 2.5 hours from Kigali).
Upon arrival, attend a briefing session at the park headquarters, where expert guides provide information on gorilla behavior and safety. Begin your trek through the bamboo forests of the Virunga Mountains in search of a gorilla family. The trek can last between 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ location.Spend an unforgettable hour observing these majestic creatures as they interact and feed. Afterward, return to your lodge for relaxation and a hot lunch. Optional: visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village in the afternoon to experience Rwandan traditional music, dance, and crafts. Dinner and overnight at a luxury lodge near Volcanoes National Park.

Early morning trek in Volcanoes National Park to see the rare golden monkeys. The trek is
shorter and less strenuous, making it perfect for those who want more wildlife encounters.
After the trek, drive to Lake Kivu (approximately 1.5 hours). Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes, and visit some of the picturesque islands while learning about local fishing communities. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lakeside, swimming in the clear waters, or enjoying water sports like kayaking or paddleboarding.Dinner and overnight at a lakeside resort in Gisenyi.

After breakfast, transfer back to Kigali (about 3 hours). Visit the Presidential Palace Museum or the Nyamirambo Women’s Centre for a cultural tour. Enjoy a farewell lunch at one of Kigali’s top restaurants, such as Heaven Restaurant. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
